Kisiwani uses Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram to post a range of messages. The videos contain short dramas on topics such as forced marriage. The justice campaign is based on EAJ’s research findings that the Shari’ah is the most trusted vehicle for justice among the Somali population and is effective in promoting individual rights. Emphasizing women’s individual rights in the Shari’ah has therefore been selected as an approach to promote women’s rights in a culturally appropriate way that is acceptable for the majority of the population.
